Scholarships

The Goodlark Foundation awards yearly scholarships to area residents pursuing four-year college degrees, two-year associate degrees, certificates from area technical schools, or graduate degrees.

The recipients of our scholarships are both recent high school graduates and older students who are returning to school. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $4,000 and are based on school costs not being met by other sources. The student’s FAFSA Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is taken into account.

In addition to regular scholarships, the foundation offers three special scholarships.

The Anne Deason Healthcare Scholarship is awarded annually to a rising college junior, senior or graduate student in a health-related field. At the discretion of the Goodlark Board of Directors, this scholarship could be as much as $5,000 per year.

The Dr. Bill and Emily Jackson Medical Scholarship and the Dr. Van and Sara Caroline Mills Medical Scholarship are multiyear scholarships of up to $10,000 annually, each awarded to a student from our area who is attending medical school.

The Jim Brent Wilkerson Memorial Scholarship is a one-year scholarship recognizing excellence in scouting. Any currently active Scout who meets the criteria may apply.

Goodlark also administers two $2,500 scholarships for the children of Dickson Medical Associates employees.
